About The Position

This is a co-op position for students registered in a recognized co-op program, specifically targeting those within the Greater Victoria area. The role is for an 8-month duration, spanning Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 (September 2026 - April 2027). The position is located in Victoria, BC, at an office on the Selkirk Waterfront with views of downtown Victoria and the Olympic Mountains, and easy access to the Galloping Goose Regional Trail. The co-op student will be part of the Performance and Talent Development team, which focuses on helping employees thrive by connecting them to the organizational purpose and supporting them in their roles. This team delivers talent programs and services related to corporate learning, performance enablement, recognition, operational excellence, leadership, and employee engagement. BC Pension Corporation is a leading pension service provider in Canada, serving a large number of members and employers, and paying out significant benefits monthly. The Performance and Talent Development Branch acts as a strategic business partner, focusing on organizational performance enablement and talent development strategies to attract, retain, develop, and engage a high-performing workforce and deliver an exceptional employee experience.

Requirements

  • Must be registered in a recognized co-op program.
  • Must be located within the Greater Victoria area.
  • Students working towards a diploma or bachelor's degree OR students working towards a post-graduate degree.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with other co-op students in a monthly virtual event designed to build connection and community while developing skills to support success.
  • Utilize LinkedIn Learning for personal, educational, and professional development through access to over 16,000 online courses.

Benefits

  • Salary: $2,040.97 bi-weekly (Grid 7, Step 3) or $2,335.03 bi-weekly (Grid 12, Step 3)
