About The Position

Coordinates and supports all staffing related activities associated with hiring candidates for CSX from when a need is identified until the need has been filled. As a Talent Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring a great candidate experience from problem solving technical issues, providing logistical support, and supporting candidates throughout background and medical screening processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 or more years of experience in Human Resources, Staffing Administration, Recruiting, Customer Service or related field.
  • 1 or more years of experience managing pre-employment screening processes
  • Knowledge of core staffing processes
  • Knowledge of FCRA regulations, DOL & OFCCP regulations and other Human Resource compliance related issues
  • Experience working within an ATS
  • Experience conducting preliminary candidate screenings through phone and video interview platforms
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Professional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to create and facilitate presentations
  • Microsoft Office skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Knowledge of HR/legal compliance standards and processes
  • 3 or more years of experience in Human Resources, Staffing Administration, Recruiting, Customer Service or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Support the post-offer processes as it relates to coordinating and managing all staffing related activities associated with hiring candidates for CSX
  • Support and implement strategic processes, while continuing to focus on company and federal compliance directives.
  • Ensure all hiring and onboarding processes are complete and in compliance with company policies and applicable federal regulations.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondences for the talent acquisition lifecycle
  • Initiate and process all new hire paperwork, maintain files, create and interpret reports, and other pertinent human resource records.
  • Ensuring all candidates are screened in line with government legislation and company standards
  • Collaboratively work with the Talent Advisors to conduct phone screens and evaluate recorded virtual interviews with candidates
  • Liaising with the relevant onsite contact regarding exceptions and any potential delays to start dates, to enable them to update the client accordingly
  • Coordinate with CSX Medical Department, Labor Relations and HRBP business partners to ensure clear, accurate and timely communication with employees and candidates.
  • Support completion of new hire I-9 documentation and the completion of audits to ensure adherence to federal employment eligibility guidelines
  • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
