This is a great entry point into the venture capital talent ecosystem for someone who is curious, highly organized, and eager to learn.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a role with outbound responsibilities (could be recruitment coordination, talent sourcing, SDR/business development, event management, program operations, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage logistics, juggle multiple priorities, and execute with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable doing outreach (email campaigns, scheduling follow-ups) alongside interfacing and engaging with executives.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a knack for keeping internal/backend systems and processes clean and efficient.
  • Proficiency with recruiting/sourcing tools and databases (e.g. Affinity)
  • Self-starter - proactive by nature, comfortable navigating ambiguity and coming up with creative solutions.
  • Roll-up-your-sleeves mentality - you do what it takes to get things done and support the team.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Event ownership: Help plan and execute Sapphire's talent events end-to-end (budgeting, venue research, vendor management, guest communications, executive invite curation, and post-event follow-ups).

  • Outbound execution: Support targeted outreach campaigns to senior executives and rising leaders, helping to keep our talent ecosystem engaged and growing.
  • Process efficiencies: Help capture and track data across talent processes, ensuring reporting and metrics are streamlined.
  • Cross-team collaboration: Partner with investors and portfolio leaders to support key hiring needs with research, outreach, or operational support.
  • Special projects: Take on projects such as vendor/partner management, updating internal resources, and supporting DEIB initiatives.
