About The Position

The Talent & Onboarding Specialist supports Heritage Behavioral Health Center’s recruitment operations, ensuring every new hire experiences a seamless and welcoming hiring and onboarding process. Reporting to the Talent & Onboarding Manager, this role provides hands-on coordination across recruitment and onboarding. This position assists with recruiting, scheduling, pre-employment screening, and onboarding logistics, serving as a key point of contact for applicants and new hires. The primary goal is to ensure every new hire experiences a seamless and welcoming hiring and onboarding process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative, customer service, or HR experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfort with applicant tracking systems, HRIS (ADP), and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of current auto insurance may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, or HR.
  • Experience in healthcare or a nonprofit setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting and applicant communication.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling.
  • Process background checks, drug screens, reference checks, and credential verification.
  • Maintain recruitment tracking.
  • Complete employment verifications.
  • Assist the Talent & Onboarding Manager with recruitment initiatives.
  • Prepare and process new hire paperwork.
  • Coordinate orientation and onboarding checklists.
  • Conduct 30-day onboarding follow-up.
  • Ensure onboarding tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned consistent with this role.
