Reporting to the AVP, Talent Management, this role is responsible for supporting and enabling a wide range of Talent initiatives and programs in SL Canada. This role will provide project management and event management support for talent, learning and recognition programs as well as support for other new and ongoing HR initiatives and strategic projects.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational, time management and process management skills necessary to maintain high-volume workload
  • Comfortable and confident with ambiguity. Able to start projects with minimal direction and demonstrates sound judgement on when to involve leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build relationships across Human Resources and CoEs
  • Proven ability to support the execution and delivery of high-profile events
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to create project plans and execute on deliverables and timing and communicate such plans to key stakeholders and partners
  • Demonstrates strong ethics and trust with ability to handle sensitive confidential information
  • Sufficient fluency with data and analytics to maintain accurate data on the programs/participants and create actionable insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • University degree with 3-6 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, Human Resources or similar field

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day oversite of online recognition platform (Applause) working with various stakeholders including HRBPs and Business representatives to manage requests and reporting
  • Provide program management for iStars recognition celebration in SL Canada including nominations process, communications, points administration, and reporting. Partner with Event Services team to deliver iStar event including planning and vendor management
  • Act as the SL Canada representative on the CEO’s Award program, including gathering and organizing nominations, answering HRBP questions and preparing materials for Executive team discussion
  • Support the delivery of various global talent initiatives across SL Canada and in partnership with Global Talent teams, including: Employee Training, Career Development, Goal Setting and Performance, Leadership Development, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and Inclusion & Belonging, Workforce planning & transformation initiatives
  • Provide team support as required e.g. organization of team events, management of team SharePoint site content & access, developing materials and communications, talent data analysis and other ad hoc requests
