About The Position

We are excited to announce that we are looking for an experienced, energetic, and engaging Talent Development Specialist to join our regional training team, dedicated to supporting our direct care staff who provide exceptional care to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will be a confident public speaker and passionate trainer, well-versed in the latest tools and resources to enhance employee training and performance. Our Talent Development Specialists/Trainers play a vital role in delivering high-quality services, and your expertise will make a meaningful impact!

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience or education related to staff training or in-service presentation.
  • Demonstrated success in conducting virtual or web-based training programs.
  • Instructors must demonstrate physical coordination and skill, which may include the ability to maintain balance while moving or being pushed or pulled.
  • Must be able to lower themselves into a half-squat position while keeping their back straight.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint and virtual platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and GoToMeeting.
  • Valid Drivers License is Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Must either currently hold or be able to obtain certifications in required training programs. These include, but are not limited to: Safety Care, CPR, CBRF First Aid (including choking), CBRF Fire Safety, CBRF Standard Precautions, CPI, MANDT, and any other state or Dungarvin-required programs.
  • Experience using Relias or Workday Learning.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Comfort leading sessions with up to 50 participants.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging sessions to welcome and prepare new hires for New Employee Orientation.
  • Use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook to support training and create materials.
  • Communicate training needs and collaborate with trainers on organizational and in-service training.
  • Track training completions, classes, and required data to support compliance within the Learning Management System.
  • Deliver training through Zoom, GoToMeeting, and Teams, including technical support as needed.
  • Partner with staff to maximize training effectiveness and program outcomes.
  • Conduct virtual or web-based training programs.
  • Perform hands-on demonstrations of crisis intervention techniques.
  • Lead engaging online trainings for diverse audiences across multiple states.
  • Clearly communicate, build rapport, and maintain positive relationships.
  • Balance priorities, schedules, and training records.
  • Quickly address challenges and unexpected changes.
  • Work independently and with teams to deliver quality training.
  • Take ownership and continuously improve training delivery.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and composure with diverse learners.
