About The Position

This role will gain knowledge and hands-on-experience working on a variety of HR projects side by side with experienced HR professionals to help attract, retain, grow and develop our employees. You’ll utilize your passion for people, curiosity, and problem-solving skills to help HR navigate and work through essential programs and execute strategic goals. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska is a Partner of Choice for the Nebraska University System. Our Interns work a hybrid schedule and spend some days working on-site at our Omaha office located in Aksarben Village. Therefore, you will need to live within commuting distance from Wednesday, May 26 – Friday, July 30, 2027.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an Bachelors degree program in human resources, organizational leadership, business administration, or related field.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of the department.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted to meet this requirement.

Responsibilities

• Support a wide variety of HR projects to include assisting with the recruitment process, onboarding employees and assisting with talent development programs.
• Work closely with different areas of HR to evaluate the organization and employee’s needs and recommend solutions.
