About The Position

We are looking for a talented Talent Advisor – Early Careers to join our Cummins Inc. team in Troy, MI. In this role, you will make an impact by leading full-cycle recruiting activities to deliver high-quality talent and support critical Early Careers hiring objectives. You will build and maintain diverse talent pipelines through strategic sourcing initiatives, campus engagement, referral programs, and targeted recruiting efforts. You will advise hiring managers with market insights, talent trends, and recruiting expertise to enable informed hiring decisions. You will drive an exceptional candidate experience through proactive communication, efficient process management, and effective stakeholder coordination. You will partner across Human Resources, business leaders, and recruiting teams to accelerate hiring outcomes and meet workforce planning needs. You will analyze recruiting metrics and pipeline data to identify opportunities, improve decision-making, and enhance recruiting effectiveness. You will ensure recruiting activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and candidate dispositioning standards. You will identify hiring risks, process improvement opportunities, and pipeline gaps while supporting continuous improvement across Early Careers programs.

Requirements

  • Strong consulting, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships and guide hiring decisions effectively.
  • Expertise in candidate assessment, talent sourcing, and selection practices that support quality hiring outcomes and compliance expectations.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret recruiting metrics, identify trends, and apply insights to improve talent acquisition results.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, customer focus, sound judgment, and commitment to fostering inclusive candidate and stakeholder experiences.
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze recruiting metrics and pipeline data to identify opportunities, improve decision-making, and enhance recruiting effectiveness.
  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and candidate dispositioning standards.
  • Identify hiring risks, process improvement opportunities, and pipeline gaps while supporting continuous improvement across Early Careers programs.
  • Acts as a trusted Talent Advisor to hiring managers and the business, providing recruiting expertise, market and pipeline insights, and guidance throughout the hiring process to support informed selection decisions and business hiring needs.
  • Manages assigned full-cycle recruiting activities independently, including requisition management, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer processing, candidate management, and post-offer process support, while partnering with the Senior Talent Advisor on more complex or escalated recruiting matters.
  • Supports requisition dispatching during peak hiring periods and as business needs require.
  • Supports audits of standard and pipeline requisitions to ensure timely applicant dispositioning, appropriate requisition maintenance and closure, and compliance with the 90-day posting requirement.
  • Supports the Early Careers conversion process, including mapping sessions, candidate alignment, and related recruiting activities as needed.
  • Supports campus, conference, functional, employee referral, and other strategic recruiting initiatives, including candidate pipeline management and follow-up.
  • Provides recruiting support for functional programs, special projects, and other business priorities as needed.
  • Identifies recruiting risks, pipeline gaps, or process issues and partners with the Senior Talent Advisor and Early Careers Operations Leader for resolution.
  • Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs and Early Careers priorities.
