About The Position

The Dynacare Talent Acquisition Team is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist based in British Columbia to join our national recruiting team! This 12-month contract offers a unique opportunity to play a strategic role in one of the most competitive healthcare talent markets in Canada. In this role, you will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts with a strong focus on building sustainable, local talent pipelines for hard-to-fill healthcare positions. You will partner closely with hiring leaders and community stakeholders to deeply understand workforce needs and develop targeted, market-specific sourcing strategies. A key part of your success will be establishing and nurturing local relationships—across professional networks, educational institutions, and community organizations—to strengthen Dynacare’s presence and access to talent in British Columbia. The ideal candidate brings a proactive, consultative approach to recruitment, with experience navigating complex labour markets and delivering creative solutions for critical roles. You will be responsible for attracting, engaging, and securing high-quality candidates while delivering exceptional and inclusive candidate experience.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of recruitment best practices and applicable employment legislation, supported by certifications such as CHRP, RPR, AIRS, or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, with a strong foundation in human behaviour and workplace dynamics
  • Minimum of 3 years’ recruitment experience, including managing high-volume and/or hard-to-fill front line roles in competitive labour markets
  • Demonstrated ability to build talent pipelines and leverage creative sourcing strategies to address regional talent shortages, particularly within Interior/Okanagan Region
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to partner effectively with hiring leaders and engage local talent networks
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and digital sourcing tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter and other social platforms, to effectively manage pipelines and engage passive candidates
  • Strong capability in advanced sourcing techniques (e.g., Boolean, X-Ray search, market mapping) to identify talent in competitive and hard-to-recruit areas
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), with the ability to analyze recruitment data and support reporting and workforce planning
  • Skilled in leveraging online tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, niche job boards, professional networks) to build targeted talent pipelines and support regional recruitment strategies
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences across presentations, virtual and in-person interviews, and professional correspondence (e.g., reports, employment offers)
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and partner with multiple stakeholders, including hiring leaders, HR colleagues, and community partners
  • Confident and engaging communicator, able to effectively articulate Dynacare’s value proposition and employment brand in competitive and hard-to-recruit markets
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships and deliver a high-touch, consultative experience for both candidates and hiring managers
  • Commitment to delivering an exceptional, inclusive, and candidate-centric experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle

Responsibilities

  • Build strong, consultative relationships with hiring leaders by developing a deep understanding of business priorities, workforce challenges, and regional talent dynamics across Interior/Okanagan Region
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Talent Acquisition, providing guidance on hiring decisions, market insights, and effective strategies to address hard-to-fill roles
  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies, including creating compelling job postings and leveraging multiple channels (ATS, social media, job boards, and local networks) to attract diverse and qualified talent
  • Proactively build and maintain sustainable local talent pipelines through ongoing engagement with candidates, educational institutions, professional associations, and community partners
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, including screening, interviewing, assessing candidates, and managing the offer process in partnership with Human Resources
  • Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines, maintain accurate data, and generate meaningful recruitment reporting to inform workforce planning
  • Ensure recruitment activities align with service level agreements (SLAs), while maintaining a strong focus on quality of hire and candidate experience
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers on recruitment policies, employment legislation, and best practices, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk
  • Partner collaboratively with the broader HR team to support seamless onboarding and integration of new hires
  • Plan and participate in local recruitment initiatives, including career fairs, community outreach, and targeted hiring events, to strengthen Dynacare’s employer brand and presence in the region
