About The Position

HUB is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to assist with all aspects of recruitment and employer branding, based out of our new Head Office in Chilliwack, BC, or our office in Victoria, BC. Reporting to the VP of HR, you will work closely with members of the HR team and hiring managers to bring the highest caliber of candidates into our growing organization. In this role, you will manage full-cycle recruitment for current talent needs, from sourcing and screening through offer and onboarding. Our ideal candidate is a driven, efficient self-starter with experience using a variety of social platforms and technologies in recruiting. We are looking for someone who operates with a high degree of urgency in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and takes pride in recruiting top talent.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of high-volume sourcing/recruitment experience
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system (ATS) and sourcing candidates across multiple channels, including social media
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and regulations, including the Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Legislation
  • A reliable team player
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday considered an asset
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Insurance industry experience/knowledge an asset
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to various offices and locations within the lower mainland.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and facilitate the full-cycle recruitment process:
  • Coordinate job postings, screen applicants, and conduct preliminary phone conversations to assess candidate fit
  • Educate and excite candidates on the exciting career potential at HUB
  • Coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers
  • Conduct interviews alongside the hiring managers as needed
  • Provide interview resources and support to hiring managers, offering recommendations throughout the hiring process
  • Extended offers of employment and manage the negotiation process if required
  • Administer pre-employment background screening and conduct reference checks
  • Identify and leverage creative sourcing techniques to attract top talent aligned with HUB's needs
  • Maintain a robust, ready-to-tap talent pipeline to reduce time to hire
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to build a clear understanding of role scope, must-haves, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Manage various recruitment channels such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Phenom, Workday, Employee Referral Program, social media platforms, external job boards, and third-party recruitment agencies
  • Champion HUB's employer brand internally and externally, crafting compelling job postings and content that engages passive talent
  • Represent HUB at job fairs, networking events, and career exhibitions, building lasting relationships with educational institutions and community partners
  • Partner with HR and hiring managers to ensure seamless onboarding and orientation experience for new hires
  • Maintain accurate, timely recruitment metrics and reporting to support data-driven hiring decisions
