About The Position

Mastronardi Produce, a leader in the greenhouse vegetable industry, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their Human Resources team at their Livonia, Michigan facility. This role is crucial for delivering recruiting success across the organization, with a primary focus on salaried, hourly recruiting, and agency conversions. The specialist will utilize traditional and creative sourcing strategies to find top talent. Requirements

  • College degree required or relevant experience.
  • Minimum two years of previous recruiting experience required.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to navigate within teams and across lines of business.
  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques including Boolean queries.
  • Regularly exhibits a strong work ethic and high degree of self-motivation.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems required.
  • Experience working on projects and balancing day-to-day work with projects.
  • Must be proficient in record keeping of recruited candidates and performing all administrative duties.
  • Must have the capability to build a strong network through various means.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Recruiting for a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Some general Human Resource knowledge would be preferred.
  • Working knowledge of UltiPro a plus.
  • Strategic thinker and planning out how to attract candidates with the needed skills.
  • Should be an expert in hiring the best possible talent for our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for salaried and hourly warehouse positions, including requisition management in the applicant tracking system, sourcing and screening candidates, scheduling interviews, extending and managing offers, assisting with background checks, and tracking/reporting data.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with hiring managers to assess the effectiveness and timeline of recruiting plans.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to identify hiring needs and develop workforce planning strategies.
  • Maintain data integrity within the applicant tracking system, including requisition and applicant status.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidates, posting openings online, with professional organizations, and other appropriate venues.
  • Create and maintain a process for converting agency employees to Mastronardi employees.
  • Provide regular staffing reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
