Requirements

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience in skilled trades, industrial, commercial, or construction environments
  • Proven success sourcing and placing skilled trades and professional roles.
  • Strong experience with ATS/CRM systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and modern sourcing tools.
  • Experience using AI recruiting tools and automation technologies.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for skilled trades and professional roles across direct hire, temporary, temp-to-hire, and contingent labor needs.
  • Partner with HR and hiring managers to define role requirements, hiring strategies, and timelines.
  • Source and engage candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, and targeted outreach for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Build talent pipelines in key disciplines including electrical, mechanical, machine repair, rigging, and welding/fabrication.
  • Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates to ensure technical fit and alignment with business needs.
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, hiring events, and community outreach activities.
  • Support additional HR project-related initiatives and special assignments as needed.
  • Manage staffing agency partnerships to support contingent labor and direct hire recruiting needs.
  • Determine the best sourcing approach based on urgency, business need, and cost.
  • Review labor rates and vendor performance to ensure competitive pricing, quality hires, and strong time-to-fill results.
  • Build and maintain a reliable vendor network aligned to organizational hiring priorities.
  • Serve as a functional expert for ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other sourcing tools.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting data, reporting, and process consistency across all requisitions.
  • Use AI tools, automation, and sourcing strategies to improve recruiting efficiency and candidate quality.
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Monitor labor market trends, compensation benchmarks, and hiring activity within skilled trades and industrial sectors.
  • Provide market insights and workforce recommendations to improve hiring competitiveness.
