About The Position
The Talent Acquisition Sourcer I finds and attracts talent in support of the organization’s strategic hiring needs. The role partners closely with the functional recruitment team to understand sourcing and pipeline needs for business units, and supports difficult searches or periods of high requisition volume. The sourcer develops and applies sourcing strategies, researches candidate pools, assesses potential candidates, and builds interest in opportunities at Republic Services.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in talent sourcing and building pipelines to support hiring needs.
- Demonstrated proficiency and interest in using social media, conducting internet research, and sourcing.
- Experience using tools and generating sourcing ideas beyond traditional recruiting methods.
- Experience developing strong relationships by establishing trust and credibility with colleagues.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- CIR, AIRS, Social Talent, or a similar talent sourcing or recruiting certification.
Responsibilities
- Source passive and active candidates to assist the Recruiting team with difficult searches and periods of high requisition volume.
- Assist in creating strategies to target, identify, map, and engage potential candidates.
- Monitor and track market developments, including industry, people, and company trends, to identify candidate pools for active and pipeline searches.
- Research résumés and candidate profiles using job boards, social networking sites, and other internet resources.
- Identify and attend industry events to network and attract qualified talent.
- Evaluate potential candidate profiles and conduct preliminary phone screens, assessing availability, interest, salary range, relocation needs, and basic qualifications.
- Evaluate candidate motivators and influence candidate decisions by presenting Republic Services and the opportunity to work there.
