About The Position

Metrea delivers effects-as-a-service to national security partners across five domains and more than a dozen mission areas—including airborne ISR, electronic warfare, secure communications, aerial refueling, special mission aviation, aerial firefighting, and advanced simulation. Wherever we operate, we build vertically integrated full stacks of capability—designing, building, and operating turnkey solutions that let customers scale capacity while benefiting from continuous cycles of innovation. With operators and engineers under one roof, we close the gap between lab and field—what we call connecting design with effect. Metrea’s solutions are built for elegance: effective, efficient, and evolving. This approach enables our partners to do more with less and achieve outsized, asymmetric advantage against rapidly evolving threats. Headquartered in Washington, DC, Metrea has facilities across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and beyond. Metrea Management is our global shared service providing support for the Capabilities in areas such as People, Finance, Legal, Strategy and Information Technology. People Group is dedicated to attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, ensuring a positive and productive work environment. We are a results-oriented team focused on delivering innovative People solutions that drive business results. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and respected. At Metrea, we seek out the most complex national security challenges and proactively develop elegant solutions - those solutions start with our people and their ability to deliver mission-critical effects around the world. Our Talent Acquisition team is focused on delivering equally compelling and strategic hiring solutions through deep recruiting expertise, consultative partnership, and analytical rigor. In this role, you will serve as a strategic talent acquisition partner supporting Aircraft Integration, Engineering and Adaptation teams, with a particular focus on highly specialised technical and operational roles. You will partner closely with business leaders and hiring managers across the AERO Group (Aerospace Engineering) and adjacent aviation functions, leading high-touch searches. This role is well suited to a recruiter with a strong market intelligence mindset - someone who can lead complex searches across specialist talent markets while bringing insight and clarity to hiring leaders and the broader People team. Beyond delivery, you will help elevate Metrea’s capability in talent markets where we are still building depth, using market mapping, external insight, and repeatable hiring approaches to improve how we hire over time. Success in this role requires someone who thrives in process creation, exercises strong judgment, and has a track record of delivering complex searches in high-expectation, highly specialised stakeholder environments.

  • A market intelligence mindset, with the ability to map talent pools, identify target organisations, assess talent availability, and translate external insight into hiring strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior hiring leaders and candidates alike.
  • Strong judgment in balancing rigor with flexibility across different search types and business needs.
  • Experience improving hiring capability through insight-sharing, process enhancement, and structured search approaches.
  • Experience managing multi-stage, high-touch recruitment processes across complex stakeholder groups.
  • Experience with Greenhouse or other applicant tracking systems.
