About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for driving full-cycle recruiting and proactive talent sourcing strategies to support Irby Construction’s workforce needs. This role partners closely with operations and leadership to identify, engage, and secure top talent across high-volume craft, field, and key operational roles. This role requires a proactive approach to sourcing, persistence in outreach, and the ability to build relationships and communicate Irby’s value in a competitive, relationship-driven industry. The ideal candidate will leverage tools such as iCIMS and LinkedIn Recruiter to identify and engage passive candidates, build long-term pipelines, and convert talent in a competitive, relationship-driven industry.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience with a strong emphasis on sourcing and passive candidate engagement
  • Proven experience using resume databases and sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS systems such as iCIMS)
  • Experience supporting high-volume craft or field-based hiring environments
  • Strong ability to engage, influence, and convert candidates through direct outreach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, utilities, or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with craft recruiting (linemen, operators, technicians)
  • Experience recruiting for field operations roles (project managers, estimators, etc.)
  • Existing industry network or demonstrated ability to build one quickly

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations leaders to align recruiting efforts with project demands, backlog, and workforce forecasts
  • Anticipate hiring needs and proactively build recruiting strategies to reduce reactive hiring
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for high-volume craft roles and field operations positions, including: Linemen, operators, and technicians; Project managers, estimators, and other operational leadership roles
  • Lead intake discussions with hiring managers to define role requirements, timelines, and candidate profiles
  • Drive urgency and accountability throughout the hiring process
  • Actively source passive candidates using: iCIMS resume database, LinkedIn Recruiter and other external sourcing platforms such as Indeed and social media
  • Build targeted pipelines for high-demand and hard-to-fill roles
  • Execute direct outreach campaigns to engage candidates who are not actively seeking new opportunities
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with candidates for current and future hiring needs
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Irby Construction
  • Effectively communicate Irby’s value proposition, including: Career growth and advancement opportunities, Long-term project stability, Safety culture and team environment
  • Influence and convert passive candidates by clearly articulating why Irby is a compelling place to build a career
  • Partner with hiring managers to deliver a strong, consistent candidate experience
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with: Trade schools and workforce programs, Military and veteran communities, Industry networks and referral channels
  • Support ongoing pipeline development for critical and high-turnover roles
  • Identify gaps in recruiting processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and hiring success
  • Reduce candidate drop-off and improve time-to-fill through proactive pipeline management
  • Track and manage key recruiting metrics, including: Pipeline activity and outreach volume, Time-to-fill, Offer acceptance rates, Source effectiveness
  • Use data to refine sourcing strategies and improve recruiting outcomes
  • Utilize iCIMS to manage requisitions, candidate pipelines, and job postings
  • Maintain accurate and organized candidate data and sourcing activity
