About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for providing professional and strategic, leadership with a strong emphasis on talent sourcing, employer branding, and recruitment operations across FCC Canada. This role will oversee the full recruitment lifecycle while managing and supporting a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists assigned to individual projects. The Talent Acquisition Manager plays a critical role in ensuring FCC attracts, engages, and hires the best possible talent across all projects and corporate functions.

Requirements

  • 10 years of recruitment experience with at least 5 years leading end‑to‑end recruitment efforts and managing recruitment teams.
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills with proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑project environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working within complex and matrixed organizations.
  • Proven Talent Acquisition experience across the North American job market.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, influence outcomes, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with team members, internal clients, academic partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Passion for and experience with diversity hiring initiatives and inclusive recruitment practices.
  • Collaborative self‑starter and creative problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and proficiency in using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing/social media platforms.
  • Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists embedded within each project, ensuring alignment, consistency, and high‑quality recruitment delivery.
  • Coordinate and oversee recruitment activities for all FCC Canada projects, serving as the central point of contact for project‑based TA teams and ensuring Canada‑wide workforce planning and alignment with project needs.
  • Conduct and support full life‑cycle recruitment for high‑priority, senior level and strategic roles across the corporate group and FCC projects. This includes sourcing, recruitment, screening resumes, conducting telephone screens, interviewing, reference checks, and composing and extending job offers.
  • Identify strategic sourcing channels to build sustainable talent pipelines for all FCC functions. Establish connections, maintain and leverage a strong professional online and social media presence, and prospect talent through networks and industry channels.
  • Provide trusted guidance and consultation to hiring managers by using diverse interviewing and assessment techniques, labour market insights, and recruitment analytics.
  • Communicate proactively with the business to understand and forecast recruitment needs, project staffing requirements, and talent risks.
  • Assist and consult on the development and maintenance of job descriptions and job postings.
  • Guide candidates throughout the recruitment process and ensure a smooth onboarding experience in partnership with the HR Business Partners.
  • Develop and lead FCC Canada’s employer branding strategy to enhance visibility, attractiveness, and reputation in the labour market and construction sector.
  • Build, maintain, and expand partnerships with universities, colleges, technical institutions, and professional associations to support campus recruitment, internships, and emerging talent pipelines.
  • Represent FCC Canada at campus events, career fairs, and partnership engagements, supporting long‑term relationships with academic institutions and community partners.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead projects that enhance the effectiveness of recruitment operations nationwide.
  • Use recruitment data and metrics to gain insights into hiring trends and incorporate findings into national recruitment strategies.
  • Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and support career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
