Talent Acquisition Lead | New York City
About The Position
Blank Street is looking for a Talent Acquisition Lead to own and scale hiring across the US. The company is entering a phase of rapid growth and needs to hire exceptional people at scale without compromising quality. This is a builder role where the individual will design how recruiting works, operating at both a strategic and executional level. The role involves partnering closely with leaders across the business to hire exceptional talent across stores and HQ. Responsibilities include standing up hiring in new markets and improving systems and processes to build a recruiting engine that can scale with the business. This role directly shapes who is hired, how the company grows, and the long-term quality of its teams. The individual is expected to think big, move quickly, and get their hands dirty. This role is fully in-person based in Brooklyn HQ and reports to the Senior Director of People.
Requirements
- Experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments (hospitality, retail, consumer, or startups preferred)
- Scaled hiring from dozens to hundreds and thousands of hires
- Proven ability to build or significantly improve recruiting processes
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity with high ownership and bias for action
- Ability to think big and move fast
- Enjoy fixing broken systems and creating scalable structure
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end hiring across store, field, and HQ roles
- Build and scale recruiting systems that support high-volume hiring (2,000+ hires/year)
- Stand up hiring for new markets from scratch
- Partner with hiring managers to define roles, calibrate talent, and raise the bar
- Identify gaps and proactively design solutions (process, tooling, sourcing strategies)
- Use data to diagnose funnel and general recruiting issues and drive improvements
- Actively recruit and manage a team
