About The Position

Blank Street is seeking a Head of Talent Acquisition to lead and scale hiring across the US. This is a builder role focused on designing and implementing a recruiting engine that can support rapid growth and high-volume hiring (2,000+ hires/year) without compromising quality. The position operates at both strategic and executional levels, partnering with business leaders to hire exceptional talent for stores and HQ, including standing up hiring in new markets. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and solving recruiting challenges through process improvements, tooling, and sourcing strategies, utilizing data to drive improvements. It is a player-coach role involving active recruiting and team management. The position is fully in-person at the Brooklyn HQ and reports to the Senior Director of People.

Requirements

• Experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments (hospitality, retail, consumer, or startups preferred)
• Scaled hiring from dozens to hundreds and thousands of hires
• Proven ability to build or significantly improve recruiting processes
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity with high ownership and bias for action
• Ability to think big and move fast
• Enjoy fixing broken systems and creating scalable structure

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hiring across store, field, and HQ roles
• Build and scale recruiting systems that support high-volume hiring (2,000+ hires/year)
• Stand up hiring for new markets from scratch
• Partner with hiring managers to define roles, calibrate talent, and raise the bar
• Identify gaps and proactively design solutions (process, tooling, sourcing strategies)
• Use data to diagnose funnel and general recruiting issues and drive improvements
• Actively recruit and manage a team
