About The Position

Onni is seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead to spearhead full-cycle recruitment efforts across various business units. This role is crucial in aligning recruiting strategies with organizational goals and understanding the talent needs of Onni Group's operations. The Lead will collaborate with the internal Recruitment team to support top-talent attraction and retention, provide mentorship and training to HR and hiring team members, and foster a high-performance culture within the TA team. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, managing the ATS system, reviewing applicants, and conducting talent evaluations are core responsibilities. The position also involves understanding applicable job markets, recommending competitive advantages for offers and placements, advising on hiring direction based on talent market insights, and identifying/leveraging sourcing channels. The Lead will oversee sourcing and headhunting suitable candidates through various channels, build and maintain hiring pipelines, and develop applicant sources by researching and contacting various recruitment resources. Identifying, supporting, and administering recruitment metrics to drive strategy and evaluate performance, leveraging market trends and talent analytics, and researching/attending career fairs and networking events are also key. The role supports the HR department with new employee onboarding and stays informed of legislative changes impacting recruitment practices. This role may involve the use of AI tools, requiring responsible use in compliance with company policies and legal requirements, with a mandate to review AI outputs for accuracy and disclose AI usage.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead recruitment role
  • Experience recruiting across multiple business units or disciplines
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading junior recruitment team members
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing platforms including Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Indeed
  • Comfortable working with recruitment metrics and data to inform strategy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment and talent pipeline management
  • Familiarity with applicable employment legislation including Pay Transparency and Privacy/Data Protection laws
  • Knowledge of compensation benchmarking and competitive offer structuring
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment efforts across various business units, ensuring all recruiting strategies and practices are aligned with organizational strategies and mission and understands the talent needs of Onni Group's operations.
  • Collaborates with the internal Recruitment team to support and align organizational strategy for top-talent attraction and retention.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to HR and hiring team members involved in recruitment, fostering their development and continuous improvement in talent acquisition best practices. Fosters a high-performance culture within the TA team.
  • Builds and maintains relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manages the recruiting process by overseeing the ATS system, reviewing job applicants and conducting talent evaluations to identify top candidates. Ensures an efficient, fair and compliant hiring process.
  • Manages the interviewing process and holds interviews for various positions providing managers support such as arranging management interviews by coordinating schedules.
  • Responsible for understanding applicable job markets and recommending how Onni & it's subsidiaries can obtain competitive advantages on offers and placements.
  • Advises and supports hiring direction thorough understanding of talent market (ed. Where to find specific skills, salary expectations, etc.)
  • Identifies and leverages sourcing channels to optimize hiring efforts.
  • Oversees and manages the source and headhunt of suitable candidates for all departments through various recruitment channels- Linkedln, Indeed and industry specific job boards.
  • Builds, establishes, and maintain hiring pipelines through effective networking, channel management and proactive acquisition practices.
  • Develops applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
  • Identifies, supports and administers applicable recruitment metrics leading to a numbers based foundation driving recruitment strategy and evaluating performance.
  • Leverage market trends and talent analytics to refine recruitment processes.
  • Researches and attends various career fairs and networking events promoting our brands.
  • Support HR department with onboarding of new employees within the company.
  • Be aware of any legislative changes that could impact recruitment practices e.g Pay Transparency, Data Protection laws.
  • Performs other duties as required.
