About The Position

Waverly Care, our home Care Agency, is seeking a dynamic and organized Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist to lead recruiting and onboarding for direct-care staff. This role is responsible for attracting and hiring quality caregivers, coordinating a smooth onboarding experience, assisting with scheduling cases and opening new cases, and supporting employees through their first year to promote engagement, retention, and high-quality service.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, staffing coordination, HR support, or healthcare/homecare operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate experience interviewing candidates and making hiring recommendations
  • Apply strong organizational skills to manage multiple requisitions, deadlines, and onboarding steps
  • Communicate professionally with candidates, caregivers, clients, and internal teams while delivering excellent customer service
  • Use Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and adapt quickly to scheduling, HR, and recruiting software systems
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and follow agency and CCRC policies

Nice To Haves

  • Homecare, senior living, or healthcare recruiting experience, with familiarity with caregiver roles and required competencies
  • Demonstrate experience with scheduling and staffing coordination
  • Understand onboarding compliance requirements, including background checks, I-9 and E-Verify processes, required trainings, and Pennsylvania homecare regulations

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and screen direct-care staff
  • Interview candidates and support hiring decisions
  • Manage onboarding, orientation, and hiring documentation
  • Assist with scheduling cases and opening new cases
  • Provide first-year caregiver support, coaching, and performance follow-up, including evaluations and documentation, to drive engagement and retention
  • Partner with internal teams to support continuity of care
