About The Position

The Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) Talent Acquisition Analyst supports the Program Manager - Talent Acquisition in creating talent acquisition strategies and best practice recruiting techniques and programs to hire high quality, diverse instructional and support staff for Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS). Under general management direction, the Talent Acquisition analyst performs complex and specialized work enhancing and developing the organization’s ability to attract top talent to support the strategic plan, vision and mission of ACPS. This position also maintains responsibility for metrics, analytics, and research relevant to the talent acquisition function of the department to enhance program effectiveness and utilization.

Requirements

Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information.
General knowledge of comprehensive human resource functions.
Understanding of state and federal legal processes, requirements, and legislation.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
Knowledge of and ability to implement best practice talent acquisition strategies.
Ability to become highly proficient in the ACPS Employee Service Human Resources Information System (HRIS) applicant tracking and related talent acquisition software and good software skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent time management and project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, employee’s agencies, general public, vendors, providers and consultants.
Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
two years of experience of a responsible nature in the area assigned.
Experience in the use of computers, Microsoft office applications, and HRIS/database systems required.

Prefer Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential.

Responsibilities

Assists in developing and implementing an ACPS talent acquisition strategy, to include targeting hard to fill areas.
Coordinates research and metrics measurement to ensure talent acquisition practices are benchmarked.
Generates reports and quantitative findings related to talent acquisition practices and procedures.
May coordinate implementing best practice talent acquisition practices, including developing diverse, high quality talent pipelines and talent incubator programs.
Partners with the HR Business Partners to obtain talent specific to meet Client Group needs.
Assists in the recruitment process including, but not limited to, posting job opportunities, collecting and reviewing applications, and facilitating interviews.
Trains interviewers and managers on interviewing and recruitment best practices.
Continuously monitors recruitment and application progress for all positions.
Ensures compliance with relevant State and Federal regulations, including but not limited to regulations issued by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Department of Labor (DOL).
Assist implementing and maintaining technology solutions to provide “just in time” status to leaders and potential members of the team current status of their application.
Maintains talent acquisition status reports on a routine basis
Works with other Centers of Expertise (Compensation, Benefits and Learning) and Talent Retention to help develop strategies to retain ACPS team members and provide flexible employment options for ACPS team members.
Actively participates and supports the HR Department.
