About The Position

Exciting opportunity to join Mascoma's HR Team! We are seeking a dynamic and people-focused Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our HR team. In this role, you will play a key part in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent to support our company's growth and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of recruitment’s best practices, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building diverse and high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Two years’ experience in Human Resources preferred; recruiting experience helpful
  • Professional HR certification (PHR/SHRM-CP) or advanced education in HR/Recruiting/Workforce Development preferred
  • Proficient use of technology and experience using Microsoft Office products, applicant tracking systems and social media
  • Must maintain a high standard of confidentiality and privacy

  • Professional appearance; grooming and dress consistent with MB appearance policy

Responsibilities

  • Develops innovative recruitment and sourcing strategies to build diverse talent pipelines.
  • Proactively sources and screens talent using online platforms like LinkedIn, and Predictive Index.
  • Writes employment ads and posts to job boards, social media, employment agencies, and professional associations.
  • Manages vacancies, hiring managers, applications, resumes, hiring guides/practices, EEO Standards and position closing before 60 days.
  • Conducts screenings and interviews primarily through virtual platforms, making recommendations to the hiring manager for candidates who are best suited for a position.
  • Stays abreast of competitor practices, industry trends, and recruitment standards.
  • Performs reference checks and background screenings.
  • Extends offers to internal and external candidates using established ranges and benefits.
  • Represents the Bank at career fairs and Banker’s Associations.
  • Provides new hire onboarding experience to new Mascoma Bank team members in partnership with Engagement Manager.
  • Actively engage and advance DEI & Affirmative Action strategies through increase candidate pipelines, active outreach, participate and/or maintain leadership role in bank wide efforts.
  • Maintains a high standard of professional communication when interacting with internal and external candidates and hiring managers.
  • Manages internship program including screening, interviewing, and recommending candidates to hiring managers; coordinates internship events such as job shadow day and social opportunities.
  • Adheres to and upholds all written policies and procedures of the Bank, including BSA/CIP and OFAC monitoring and reporting, security, operation, and personnel policies.
