About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with high-quality tailoring and fitting services. The role measures customers, fits garments, marks areas requiring alterations, and completes fittings and sewing alterations on time according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor also works toward productivity goals, uses store technology to organize customer alteration needs, collaborates with the Alterations and Store teams, and educates customers and employees about fit, style, garment construction, and trends.

Requirements

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; 2–3 years is preferred.
Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

At least 2–3 years of fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience.

Responsibilities
