About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with high-quality service through skilled garment fitting and alterations. The role measures customers, fits garments, marks areas requiring alterations, and completes fittings and sewing alterations on time in accordance with Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor also manages alteration needs using store technology, works collaboratively with the Alterations and Store teams, and educates customers and employees about fit, style, construction, and trends in a professional and friendly manner. The position requires meeting productivity goals, following proper processes, and adapting to a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Requirements

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; a minimum of 2–3 years is preferred.
Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves
