The Tactical Support Equipment (TSE) Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, inspection, testing, and exercise of electrical generation equipment to ensure continuous regulated power for Cavalier SFS. This role involves performing required preventive maintenance, correcting malfunctions, and maintaining alarm and shutdown systems. The operator will also maintain engine logs and equipment records, assist with station housekeeping, and perform routine inspections and repairs on electrical power generating and distribution equipment. Key duties include major inspections and repairs on alternators, excitation systems, generator and distribution switchgear, high and low voltage power circuit breakers, and control/alarm circuits. The position also requires testing, calibration, and adjusting of generator and switchgear protective relays, as well as preventive maintenance on diesel engine generator ancillary systems. The operator will coordinate resources, maintain RPIE assets, and operate/maintain RP, RPIE, and EAID generators and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS). Additionally, they will program depot-level maintenance for PP generators, develop and coordinate generator refueling plans, and maintain specific voltage and frequency standards. The role also emphasizes adherence to safety and housekeeping standards, completion of training, and various administrative duties such as requisitioning parts, monitoring inventory, maintaining logs, and complying with security policies.
