About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Officer to work at varying sites in Greater Silicon Valley and the southern part of the East Bay, California. Candidates must be willing to commute to different locations and be flexible to work any day of the week and any shift, including day, swing, or overnight, as scheduling needs vary. The role involves patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, and detention centers, and requires physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must observe their surroundings, anticipate risks, and respond appropriately in variable indoor and outdoor environments.

Requirements

• At least five years of security experience.
• A state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Baton permit.
• OC spray permit.
• Handcuff permit.
• High school diploma or GED documentation.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Willingness to commute to various sites in Silicon Valley.
• Flexibility and availability to work any day of the week and any shift, including day, swing, or overnight.
• Ability to perform physical activity and patrol throughout the shift.
• Ability to read and write detailed reports.
• Current security resume.

Nice To Haves

• First aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Observe and survey the assigned area and report on activity.
• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Respond rapidly to critical situations, threats, incidents, and alarms.
• Conduct on-site checks.
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards when appropriate.
• Detain and search.
• Document incidents and actions taken, including preparing detailed reports.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
