About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Officer to work at various locations in the Greater Silicon Valley and southern East Bay area of California. Candidates must be available any day of the week and for day, swing, or overnight shifts as scheduling needs vary. The role requires at least five years of security experience and permits for a baton, OC spray, and handcuffs. Officers may work indoors and outdoors in variable environments and patrol settings such as retail stores, airports, or detention centers. The position calls for strong observation, physical ability throughout the shift, and the ability to anticipate risk and respond appropriately. The hourly wage is $34, depending on site pay. Requirements

At least five years of security experience.
State security license (BSIS Guard Card).
Additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
Baton permit.
OC spray permit.
Handcuff permit.
High school diploma or GED, with documentation available.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Willingness to commute to and work at various sites in Silicon Valley.
Availability to work any day of the week and day, swing, or overnight shifts as scheduling needs vary.
Physical ability to move around throughout the shift and patrol assigned environments.
Ability to read and write detailed reports.

Responsibilities

Observe and survey assigned areas and report activity.
Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
Respond rapidly to critical situations, threats, incidents, and alarms.
Conduct on-site checks.
Detain and search when appropriate.
Document incidents and actions taken, including preparing detailed written reports.
Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards as appropriate.
Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
