About The Position

Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Tactical Procurement Manager. This role is based at our Davenport, IA facility. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Eaton Mission Systems Division in Davenport, Iowa is seeking a Tactical Procurement Manager to lead the tactical purchasing activities and associated buyers for the Integrated Product Team (IPT). This position will ensure that purchase orders are placed within requirements, and deliveries meet the demand plan, quality, and cost targets. The position is located in Davenport, Iowa and will work on-site out of Eaton’s Davenport facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution is required
  • Minimum 5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 5 years negotiating experience
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • 2+ years management experience
  • 5+ yrs experience using supply chain modules in an ERP system.
  • Experience in negotiating long term complex supplier agreements

  • ASCM or ISM affiliation with certification in Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for quality, delivery, and cost of supplied goods and services to the IPT
  • Manages and assists with buyer analysis, development and placement of purchase orders, including both OEM and spares/repairs/aftermarket ordering
  • Leads daily/weekly meetings with buyers and supporting the IPT cabinet by managing complex supply issues and controlling inventory positions
  • Fosters healthy relationships within the supply base
  • Proposes and assists in execution of appropriate supplier consolidations and transitions
  • Conducts cadenced reviews of buyers’ KPIs to analyze and react to MRP action and exception messages
  • Operates within guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance to FAR and DFARS requirements, leading by example, and focusing on risk assessment and elimination
  • Ensures proper staffing, development and training of buyers
  • Produces summary content and report out to senior leadership in cadenced SIOP forecasting and IPT review meetings
  • Efficiently manages the analysis and cut in of engineering changes, new product introductions, and end of life products
  • Supports ongoing establishment and continuous improvement of site purchasing processes
  • Supports integration of key corporate supply chain processes
