About The Position

North 40 Outfitters is hiring a full-time Tack & Pet Associate in Ponderay, Idaho. The role contributes to the overall customer experience by providing outstanding service, generating sales, recommending products, stocking and merchandising, keeping the department clean and organized, and safeguarding company assets. The position is suited to an authentic, enthusiastic person who enjoys the company’s lifestyle and prioritizes service. Prior customer-facing experience and knowledge of tack and pet fields are identified as ideal. Open availability is required. The associate must be able to work scheduled shifts during business hours of Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Scheduling may include weekends and certain holidays, and requires flexibility based on business needs.

Requirements

Open availability and flexibility to work scheduled shifts during the store’s stated business hours, including weekends and certain holidays as business needs require.
Working knowledge of small and large animals, including vaccines, feed, livestock equipment, and general animal health.
Ability to provide phenomenal customer service and communicate effectively with people regularly.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining detailed and focused.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
Dependability and ability to meet the expectations of the role.
Willingness to take initiative, embrace change, and learn new things.
Ability to share credit and define success collectively in a team environment.
Understanding of correct lifting and loading techniques.
Physical ability to lift and carry 0–15 lbs. continuously, 15–50 lbs. frequently, and 50–55 lbs. occasionally; team lift anything over 55 lbs.
Ability to spend 100% of work time on your feet, including using ladders, rolling staircases, and pallet jacks.
