About The Position

The Tack Distribution Driver operates a tanker/tack truck equipped with water or tack and maintains the assigned equipment at proper levels. The role involves driving to predetermined destinations, supporting paving crews, and following applicable commercial driving regulations, company procedures, and truck maintenance guidelines. The driver performs vehicle inspections, keeps required logs, reports vehicle or site issues promptly, and carries out other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred, or related work experience.
1–2 years of CDL driving experience with a GVW of 33,000 pounds or greater.
Tanker endorsement.
Must meet all DOT physical requirements.
Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License required.
Valid driver's license required.
Skilled in loading and unloading fuel and oil from the fuel truck at terminals.

Nice To Haves

Hazmat experience preferred but not required.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive a truck equipped with water or tack and maintain proper levels on assigned equipment.
Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and identify damage, defective parts, or signs of tampering; report problems to the shop immediately.
Drive a tanker/tack truck to predetermined destinations using knowledge of commercial driving regulations and local roads.
Work with paving crews.
Maintain a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
Promptly report traffic problems and site conditions; obtain information about job-site locations and any light bridges or roads along the route.
Maintain, clean, and repair the truck in accordance with the Truck Driver's Handbook.
Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
