About The Position

Reporting directly to the Casino Manager, the Table Games Manager is responsible for the staffing, scheduling, training, performance, and supervision of blackjack personnel while ensuring the integrity and efficiency of all table game operations. This position plays a key role in the overall financial success of the table games operations along with game protection, regulatory compliance, AML/Title 31 compliance, employee development, and guest service. The ideal candidate is an experienced gaming professional with strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of blackjack operations, and the ability to recognize and respond to unusual or suspicious gaming activity.

Requirements

  • Previous Blackjack & Craps dealing experience required.
  • Thorough knowledge of rules, procedures, payouts, and game protection.
  • Leadership, scheduling, training, and employee-management skills.
  • Observational and analytical skills with the ability to identify unusual activity.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced gaming environment.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and guest-service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain the South Dakota gaming license.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous pit, floor supervision, or casino management experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of AML/Title 31 requirements within a casino environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise blackjack dealers and other assigned pit personnel.
  • Recruit, interview, and assist with the selection of qualified department employees.
  • Develop and maintain department staffing levels appropriate for business volumes.
  • Prepare and maintain employee schedules while balancing operational needs.
  • Coordinate employee coverage for vacations, call-offs, and special events.
  • Monitor employee attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, recognition, and corrective action when appropriate.
  • Coordinate and conduct training for new and existing blackjack dealers.
  • Ensure dealers have a thorough understanding of game procedures, house rules, payouts, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate dealer proficiency, accuracy, customer service, and game-protection awareness.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and retraining when deficiencies are identified.
  • Assist in developing employees for future supervisory and leadership positions.
  • Oversee the daily operations.
  • Determine table openings and closures based on business volume and staffing.
  • Monitor table activity, game pace, dealer performance, bankroll levels, and guest activity.
  • Ensure fills, credits, table inventories, player ratings, and required gaming documentation are completed accurately.
  • Verify that all blackjack games are conducted in accordance with approved house rules, internal controls, company policies, and South Dakota gaming regulations.
  • Resolve guest disputes and game-related issues professionally and consistently.
  • Communicate significant gaming activity, operational issues, and unusual events.
  • Maintain focus on the protection and integrity of blackjack games and casino assets.
  • Continuously monitor games for procedural errors, irregularities, advantage play, collusion, cheating, theft, or suspicious activity.
  • Recognize unusual betting patterns and player behavior that may require further review.
  • Monitor dealer procedures and game security.
  • Ensure all gaming equipment is properly controlled and secured.
  • Maintain awareness of current game-protection concerns and advantage-play techniques.
  • Ensure blackjack operations remain compliant with: South Dakota Commission on Gaming regulations, Approved Internal Controls, Approved House Rules, Federal AML/Title 31 requirements, Cadillac Jack's policies and procedures.
  • Assist with regulatory examinations, surveillance reviews, and internal investigations when requested.
  • Promote a professional, friendly, and entertaining gaming environment.
  • Develop positive relationships with guests while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Assist dealers in resolving concerns and disputes.
  • Ensure guests receive consistent professional service.
  • Remain knowledgeable about casino promotions, events, amenities, and services.
