About The Position

The Table Games Dealer School role involves learning and dealing assigned casino games while delivering fast, accurate, and personalized service to guests. The dealer greets and assists guests, maintains knowledge of the games dealt, follows established procedures and applicable gaming regulations, protects games, and maintains appropriate game pace. The position also includes accurately handling payouts, verifying cheques for table fills and credits, opening and closing tables, and learning about other property gaming and entertainment offerings to help guests. Dealers must comply with company policies and controls and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Dealers School or six months of dealer experience with at least two high-volume main games, such as Blackjack, Craps, or Roulette.
• Strong verbal communication skills and fluency and literacy in English.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Knowledge of applicable state gaming laws and regulations.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain high energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to accurately perform basic arithmetic to figure payoffs.
• Ability to work any shift or hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Follow departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
• Acknowledge, greet, and converse in English with guests, offering assistance and information to those interested in gaming.
• Provide fast, flawless, personalized service to players.
• Build and maintain rapport with guests.
• Maintain knowledge of all aspects of the games dealt.
• Comply with company and departmental policies, State Gaming Regulations, and internal controls.
• Conduct assigned games according to procedures.
• Ensure appropriate game protection and pace.
• Learn about the property’s other gaming, entertainment, and service activities to provide accurate information and enhance the guest experience.
• Ensure payouts are made quickly and accurately.
• Fill and credit tables by verifying cheques.
• Open and close tables according to established guidelines and procedures.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in company matters.
