About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Table Games Dealer. The role involves greeting guests, dealing assigned games while adhering to casino policies and procedures, and assisting guests with monetary and chip transactions. The dealer will also be responsible for verifying and completing fills and credits, verifying chip counts, notifying supervisors of irregularities, educating players on game rules, maintaining a clean playing area, and computing payable odds. The position requires the ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • Good working knowledge of a variety of table games that are offered (i.e. Craps, Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, etc).
  • Good math skills
  • Professional appearance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SASC Gaming License
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Good guest service, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate conflict situations to supervisory personnel
  • Must be able to compute payouts rapidly and for extended periods of time
  • While performing the duties of the position, the Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, turn, use hands and fingers to grasp, handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Physical ability to safely perform the essential job functions of the position.
  • Basic Computer and specialized mechanical gaming equipment skills
  • Traditional gaming equipment (Cards, Dice, Roulette Ball…etc)

Nice To Haves

  • Preference to qualified Santa Ana Tribal members
  • Six months experience in a customer service environment preferred.
  • Bi-lingual and multi-cultural experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly, professional and welcoming manner
  • Deals assigned games while adhering to casino policies and procedures and to the Internal Control System (ICS)
  • Assists guests with monetary and chip transactions at the table
  • Verifies and completes fills and credits as deemed necessary by supervision
  • Verifies games’ chip count at Open and Close of Table Games
  • Notifies direct supervisor of any irregularities on his/her assigned table to maintain security of their game and casino assets
  • Educates players on the proper rules and procedures of his/her assigned game
  • Maintains a clean and neat playing area for the guest
  • Remains current on federal currency reporting requirements (Title 31) as it relates to Table Game player activity
  • Computes payable odds to pay winning wagers and collects losing wagers
  • All other duties as assigned by management pertaining to the performance of casino operation
