About The Position

The TA Porter is a member of the store team responsible for maintaining buildings and facilities in a clean, sanitary condition according to TravelCenters of America standards. The role helps provide customers with a pleasant environment and a clean, sanitary travel center. Porters work in a customer-service-focused environment and follow safety and security procedures while performing cleaning assignments.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Works well with others and is enthusiastic about being part of the team.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the facility as directed and provide guests with a clean, sanitary environment.
• Follow safety and security guidelines and procedures; identify and report potentially unsafe situations involving team members or guests, and take corrective action when necessary.
• Wear and use protective equipment properly and safely.
• Know the quantities and types of cleaning supplies used for each cleaning assignment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
