About The Position

Join us for the summer! National Beef Packing of Liberal, Kansas is looking for individuals who are interested in joining us for the summer to work as a temporary maintenance technician. If you have experience with food processing and maintenance or are willing to learn, please apply today!

Requirements

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
• Ability to read, write and speak English preferred
• Strong work ethic and eye for detail
• Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines
• Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Installing equipment/machinery/parts
• Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems
• Creating daily activity reports
• Collaboration with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues throughout the facility
• Other duties as assigned
