About The Position

We have a job opening for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior for our direct client, the Province of Ontario. This is an onsite position located at 777 Bay St., Toronto, Ontario, with an initial duration of 08 months, plus potential extensions. The role involves comprehensive testing of web applications and data warehouse systems.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience with automation testing in web applications and data warehouse systems.
Demonstrated experience executing different types of software testing processes and testing methodologies.
Demonstrated experience writing test scripts, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications and reporting defects.
Demonstrated experience investigating production issues for root causes and providing suggestions on solutions.
Demonstrated experience using HPQC and TFS to document, track, and record testing progress, test plans, and test cases.
Demonstrated experience with VBA and VBS.
Demonstrated experience testing for WCAB AA compliance in web applications.
Demonstrated experience creating complex SQL scripting for database testing.
Demonstrated experience with the use of desktop tools such as Visio, MS Office, MS Project, and MS Outlook.
Demonstrated experience in SQL, Databases, and XML in the context of data warehouse testing.
Demonstrated experience in an HP NonStop (Tandem) batch, online, n-tier, and web environment.
Demonstrated experience executing testing as part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including experience testing through all the Software Testing Life Cycle phases.
Demonstrated experience preparing for, conducting, and supporting SIT, SAT, and UAT testing that adhere to Testing Strategy and Testing Methodology.
Demonstrated experience in developing test strategy, test plan, test cases, and test data.
Demonstrated strong experience in manual and automated testing and scripting.
Experience in quality assurance and testing, including unit testing, integration testing, load testing, performance testing, etc.
Demonstrated experience with automation testing in Window services and Web API services by testing tools, such as Postman, ThunderClient and Swagger.
Experience in automation testing tools, such as Playwright, Quick Test pro, Load Runner and etc.
Demonstrated experience testing for WCAB AA compliance in web applications.

Nice To Haves

Preferable experience using screen reader (JAWS, NVDA) for testing.
Preferable experience using High Compliance Sherriff tool.

Responsibilities

Executing different types of software testing processes and testing methodologies.
Writing test scripts, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications.
Reporting defects found during testing.
Investigating production issues to identify root causes and suggest solutions.
Documenting, tracking, and recording testing progress, test plans, and test cases using HPQC and TFS.
Testing for WCAB AA compliance in web applications, including using screen readers (JAWS, NVDA) and the High Compliance Sherriff tool.
Creating complex SQL scripting for database testing.
Utilizing desktop tools such as Visio, MS Office, MS Project, and MS Outlook.
Performing data warehouse testing with SQL, Databases, and XML.
Testing in an HP NonStop (Tandem) batch, online, n-tier, and web environment.
Executing testing throughout all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) as part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Preparing for, conducting, and supporting SIT, SAT, and UAT testing in adherence to the Testing Strategy and Testing Methodology.
Developing test strategy, test plans, test cases, and test data.
Performing manual and automated testing and scripting.
Conducting unit testing, integration testing, load testing, and performance testing.
