About The Position

This position involves following all company policies and procedures, protecting company assets, and addressing guests’ service needs. The role requires exchanging information with other employees using electronic devices and developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others. The Systems Technician will communicate with other IS personnel to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems or issues related to computer software and systems, internet access, hardware, and peripheral equipment. They will refer major problems or defective products to vendors/technicians, respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program, and enter commands and activate controls on computer and peripheral equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and diagnosing computer equipment and systems, maintaining an inventory of all technology devices, and maintaining computer networks. The role also involves supporting server system(s) and supporting software, providing network communications support, and maintaining and upgrading hardware, software, and website technical architecture related to hardware and telecommunication connectivity. Performing system backups, providing end-user support, and managing user accounts (including set up, removal, and resetting passwords) are key duties to ensure confidentiality and proper use. The technician will install, configure, and modify workstations, including setting up cables, desktop computers, laptops, docking stations, and printers. Reading technical manuals, conferring with users, or conducting computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support are also part of the role. Securing all backup tapes and computer/telephone rooms, and educating users regarding procedures for securing Personal Identifiable Information (PII) are important responsibilities. The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors will also be performed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
