This role involves following company policies and procedures, protecting company assets, and addressing guests' service needs. It requires exchanging information with other employees using electronic devices and developing positive working relationships. The technician will troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to computer software, systems, internet access, hardware, and peripheral equipment. This includes responding to program errors, entering commands, inspecting and testing computer equipment, and maintaining an inventory of technology devices. Responsibilities also extend to maintaining computer networks, supporting server systems and software, providing network communications support, and upgrading hardware, software, and website technical architecture. The role includes performing system backups, providing end-user support, managing user accounts (setup, removal, password resets), and installing, configuring, and modifying workstations. This involves setting up cables, desktops, laptops, docking stations, and printers. The technician will read technical manuals, confer with users, and perform diagnostics to resolve issues or provide technical assistance. Securing backup tapes and computer/telephone rooms, and educating users on securing Personal Identifiable Information (PII) are also key duties. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by supervisors.
