About The Position

Walker Digital Table Systems, LLC (WDTS) innovates and develops products for the Asian and North American gaming markets including the PJM enabled Perfect Pay suite of table games solutions. Perfect Pay combines the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of an electronic table game with the emotion and excitement of the live dealer table game experience. The senior management team within the group comprises, of necessity, highly skilled executives with critical experience in the field of complex system solutions for the casino environment, knowledge of casino and resort operations at the most advanced level and high-level understanding of the strategic importance of solutions which meet the compliance, security, financial integrity and customer relationship needs of resort operators. The Systems Support Engineer is responsible for independently performing complex system installations, configurations, and advanced troubleshooting. This role provides Tier 2 technical support, acting as an escalation point for tier for Tier 1 issues. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and occasional travel both regionally and internationally, reporting to the Director of Delivery and Support.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Linux-based systems, microservices, and containerization.
  • Experience with scripting, database (SQL) queries, and TCP/IP networking principles.
  • Familiarity with RFID technologies, system integration, and support best practices.
  • Knowledge of microservice architecture, containerization, and open-source products.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work outside regular business hours and travel as needed.
  • Customer-focused with experience handling technical support in complex environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in systems engineering, IT support, hardware/software troubleshooting, or a related role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VMWare, Windows Server, and PostgreSQL is a plus.
  • Experience with Red Hat and/or Rocky Linux.
  • Experience with VMWare and/or Nutanix.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware, software, and tools for new and existing customer deployments.
  • Perform system installations, upgrades and maintenance and maintain related technical documentation.
  • Support demo room operations and resolve any technical issues affecting functionality.
  • Deploy and maintain internal labs and vendor test environments.
  • Conduct system analysis, diagnose issues through lab replication, and implement root cause fixes.
  • Provide on-call support as part of a team rotation, including nights/weekends/holidays as scheduled by management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain and improve system performance.
  • Maintain compliance with local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to fulfill business needs.
