About The Position

Scout Motors is bringing back an iconic American vehicle, electrifying and digitizing it with American innovation. We are seeking a Systems Specialist, AI Data to join our team and help revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace. This role involves creating detailed specifications for Data, Analytics, AI, and platform initiatives, analyzing requirements, documenting system workflows, and identifying impacts across systems. You will analyze source systems and data structures, create data mappings and lineage documentation, define data quality validations, and specify interface requirements between various enterprise applications. Additionally, you will document API specifications, support system integration testing, partner with AI Engineers and Data Scientists to document model requirements, define business rules for AI solutions, and support AI solution testing and validation. You will also develop acceptance criteria, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate delivered solutions, assist with production readiness, and ensure solutions align with enterprise data governance, security, and compliance standards. This role is based at our corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC, requiring 4-5 days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or Technical Analyst.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems and system integrations.
  • Experience working with Data Engineering and AI teams.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT
  • Experience with Data Lakes
  • Experience with MDM
  • Experience with APIs and Integration Patterns
  • Experience with Data Quality and Governance
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Lucid chart and similar tools.
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate requirements into implementation-ready technical specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed functional, technical, integration, data, and solution specifications that enable successful delivery of Data, Analytics, AI, and platform initiatives.
  • Analyze requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Document end-to-end system workflows, business rules, integration requirements, and operational processes.
  • Identify impacts across upstream and downstream systems.
  • Analyze source systems and data structures supporting Data and AI use cases.
  • Create source-to-target mappings, transformation specifications, and data lineage documentation.
  • Define data quality validations, reconciliation rules, and exception handling requirements.
  • Define interface requirements between enterprise applications, manufacturing systems, ERP, CRM, Vehicle, and Data Platforms.
  • Document API specifications, payload mappings, integration workflows, and event-driven interactions.
  • Support system integration testing and validation activities.
  • Partner with AI Engineers and Data Scientists to document model inputs, outputs, feature requirements, and operational workflows.
  • Define business rules supporting AI solutions, copilots, intelligent agents, and analytics applications.
  • Document AI solution flows and integration touchpoints with enterprise systems.
  • Support AI solution testing and business validation.
  • Develop acceptance criteria in partnership with Product teams.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
  • Validate delivered solutions against approved requirements and design specifications.
  • Assist with production readiness reviews and deployment validation.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Support assigned Data, Analytics, and AI initiatives through requirements documentation, testing support, and coordination with project stakeholders.
  • Participate in backlog refinement sessions and provide requirements clarification.
  • Escalate identified dependencies, risks, and blockers to project and delivery leads.
  • Support sprint and release activities by tracking assigned requirements and testing deliverables.
