About The Position

Pentair is seeking a Systems Sand Filters Assembly Operator to join its Sanford, NC team. The role performs assembly, testing, and packing processes for products on the assembly lines. Work includes assembling products and main units, using appropriate tools, checking air pressure gauges and parts against the bill of materials and pick list, operating testers, applying correct labels, and documenting scrap. Packing tasks involve using proper lifting techniques and devices and working with foam machines and packaging materials. Team members also train new employees, follow the rotation schedule, complete daily 5S activities, and participate actively as team members. This is an onsite, full-time position with a scheduled shift from 4:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Friday and weekends when needed. The anticipated hourly base pay is $17.00.

Requirements

Assembly or packing experience.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including frequently standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing.

Responsibilities

Assemble products on the assembly lines using the tools appropriate for each job.
Check air pressure gauges and verify parts against the bill of materials and pick list.
Assemble main units, including working with various pump motors.
Run product labels and document scrap at the end of the day.
Operate testers and use knowledge of quality requirements and tester electrical components.
Use the correct labels for each pump.
Pack products using proper lifting techniques and lifting devices, foam machines, and packaging materials.
Train new team members in all jobs.
Follow the rotation schedule and complete daily 5S activities.
Participate as an active team member.
