About The Position

Pentair is hiring a Systems Sand Filters Assembly Operator for its Sanford, North Carolina team. The operator performs assembly, testing, and packing processes for products on the assembly lines. The role includes assembling main units, checking parts against bills of materials and pick lists, using appropriate tools, monitoring air pressure gauges, applying correct labels, and documenting scrap. Employees also operate product testers, work with electrical components used in testing, and package products using proper lifting techniques, lifting devices, foam machines, and packaging materials. Team members train new employees, follow the rotation schedule, participate in daily 5S activities, and are expected to be active team members. This is an onsite role with a schedule of 4:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays and weekends when needed. The anticipated base pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Assembly or packing experience.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including frequently standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing.

Responsibilities

Assemble products and main units on the assembly lines.
Use provided tools and select the correct tools for each job.
Check parts for correctness against the bill of materials and pick list.
Check air pressure gauges.
Apply labels appropriate to each pump.
Document scrap at the end of the day.
Operate product testers and understand the electrical components needed for tester operation.
Pack products using proper lifting techniques, lifting devices, foam machines, and packaging materials.
Train new team members in all jobs.
Follow the rotation schedule and participate in daily 5S activities.
Work as an active team member.
