Requirements

High School Diploma or HSE
Valid Driver's License
Willingness to work indoors and out
Tolerance for working in confined spaces with uncomfortable temperature variations
Ability to perform strenuous work
Physical capability to access various locations on campus, involving walking and climbing stairs
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Strong technical writing skills
Strong verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Computer proficiency

Responsibilities

Inspecting Campus Systems, which include HVAC equipment, pumps, condensers, compressors, and electrical and domestic water services.
Starting up, regulating, and shutting down equipment.
Ensuring that the equipment operates safely, economically, and within limits by monitoring meters, gauges, and computerized controls.
Watching and listening to machinery and routinely checking safety devices, recording data in logs, and identifying potential problems.
Learning new job skills through on-the-job training (OJT) and professional training classes.
