Systems Integrator
About The Position
ECS is seeking a Systems Integrator to work remotely. This role involves supporting existing Windows images and client updates, including reviewing, recommending, and implementing methods for workstation image and software currency using System Center or other software management tools. The position requires maintaining, updating, and troubleshooting workstation images and task sequences with SCCM and/or Systems Center Suite Operating System Deployment. Support for new client hardware, creating/updating Windows Imaging Format (WIM) for Windows 10/11, and generating standalone media are also key responsibilities. The role includes supporting Office upgrades, reviewing and recommending alternative support and deployment methods for Microsoft Office Professional Plus (OPP), and providing troubleshooting expertise for OPP deployments. Additionally, the Systems Integrator will offer technical support for installing additional MS Office products and troubleshooting failed systems management deployments and client health issues. The position also involves assisting with the implementation and support of Security Policies and Audits, troubleshooting security permission issues, developing and executing plans for desktop platform optimization and standardization, providing knowledge of Windows 10/11 group policy, and fully documenting the Windows 10/11 Operating System Imaging and maintenance lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to obtain IRS High Risk level clearance
- 5+ years experience
- Strong experience supporting and administering Windows 10/11 desktop environments, including operating system imaging, deployment, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM/MECM and/or MDT, including task sequences, software deployments, WIM images, and standalone deployment media.
- Experience with Microsoft 365/Office deployments and updates, including troubleshooting Office Professional Plus, Visio, Project, and related compatibility issues.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Group Policy, Active Directory, security policies, permissions, and endpoint security configurations.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot failed software deployments, Windows updates, client health issues, and hardware/software compatibility problems.
- Strong technical documentation, process improvement, standardization, and lifecycle management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain Windows imaging and deployment procedures.
Responsibilities
- Review, recommendation, and implementation of proven methods for workstation image and software currency using System Center or other software management tools
- Maintain, update, and troubleshoot workstation images and task sequences with SCCM and / or Systems Center Suite Operating System Deployment
- Support for new client hardware in current image deployments
- Create / Update Windows Imaging Format (WIM) for Windows 10/11 supported feature update versions, via the MS Semi - Annual Channel targeting annual fall release via the MS Deployment Toolkit (MDT) platform
- Generate standalone media (USB image) to support the Annual Feature releases
- Support for Office upgrades via Distributed File Systems (DFS) or other recommended solutions
- Review existing support and deployment methods used in CI for the monthly MS Office Professional Plus (OPP) software and provide recommendations for alternative support and deployment methods
- Provide support and troubleshooting expertise for current OPP deployments that fail to update to newest release
- Provide technical support for impact installing additional MS Office products like Visio and Project on a client has on the installed version of the M365 Office suite
- Troubleshooting assistance with failed systems management deployments and assistance with repairing client health issues
- Assistance with implement and support of Security Policies and Audits; troubleshoot and resolve security permission issues
- Develop and execute plans for increasing overall desktop platform optimization and standardization
- Provide technical knowledge and support of Windows 10/11 group policy
- Fully documenting the Windows 10/11 Operating System Imaging and maintenance lifecycle to include standard and above base software
