About The Position

The FAA BNATCS program offers consultants the chance to support one of the FAA’s most mission‑critical systems, directly enabling the training and readiness of air traffic controllers nationwide. This role delivers meaningful, high‑impact work tied to aviation safety and national infrastructure. Consultants gain highly marketable FAA and federal experience, exposure to complex systems and operations, and strong résumé value, all within a professional environment known for long‑term funding, visibility, and growth potential. In this role, you’ll be driving the successful delivery of complex network infrastructure and software initiatives that support the nation’s airspace.

Requirements

• Must have a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems is required.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure planning.
• Strong command of core networking protocols, including BGP, TCP/IP, MPLS, and IPv6.
• Experience with optical networking, data center environments, and server-level hardware deployments.
• Working knowledge of cloud networking across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end program execution: Define, plan, and manage the full lifecycle of network infrastructure and software projects, from concept through deployment.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration: Coordinate with RAN, hardware, software, and systems integration teams—plus external vendors—to deliver on schedule and at scale.
• Own technical risk management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, particularly in network deployments.
• Translate strategy into action: Align technical deliverables with broader business objectives, operational priorities, and long-term timelines.
• Communicate with impact: Provide clear, actionable status updates, dashboards, and briefings to stakeholders and leadership.
