About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer for the Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) program supporting the Federal Aviation Administration. TFDM is the FAA’s NextGen surface management solution, supporting airport surface and terminal airspace operations. The engineer will integrate, validate, and deploy capabilities that contribute to the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the National Airspace System (NAS), working with software engineers, systems engineers, and FAA stakeholders. The role includes customer-facing work during deployments, formal test events, demonstrations, and customer acceptance activities at airports nationwide. The position is based in Leidos’s Gaithersburg, Maryland office, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remote. Travel to FAA airport locations throughout the United States is required; the posting describes travel as up to 25%, typically one to two weeks per trip, and also lists willingness to travel up to 50% as a required qualification. Applicants selected will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The position requires the ability to obtain an FAA SF-85P Public Trust.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a related master’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered.
