About The Position

Falcata is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama, with an educational and/or industry focus on leading multidisciplinary technical teams developing and producing RF sensors for precision weapons or electronic warfare. The role requires technical and programmatic expertise managing RF-based technologies—including proximity, height-of-burst (HOB), unmanned RF payloads, and seeker sensors—across development and manufacturing for missile, rocket, electronic warfare, and/or gun-launched munition platforms. The engineer works through all phases of product development and deployment, addressing changing requirements and hardware, software, and mechanical integration dependencies, field testing, and configuration management. The role works closely with customers, program management, and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet mission needs and can be manufactured as products. The position also supports detailed system and subsystem development for embedded applications, from upfront analysis and prototyping through end-item development and laboratory and field evaluation.

  • Engage with customers to address mission challenges, assess technical feasibility, and understand technical risks.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to refine designs, make trade-off decisions, resolve technical differences, mentor junior team members, and support testing and debugging.
  • Work with Product Management to develop and maintain the technical aspects of the product roadmap.
  • Work with the Production team to develop production-level requirements that ensure manufacturability and sustainability.
  • Support Engineering Management by executing and improving best-practice processes.
  • Support detailed system and subsystem development for embedded applications, including upfront analysis, prototyping, end-item development, and evaluation in laboratory and field-test environments.
  • Work on a multidisciplinary team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to develop complete solutions and products.
