Systems Implementation Specialist

CIP Recruiting ServicesCambridge, MA

About The Position

The Systems Implementation Specialist (SIS) is a cross-functional, client-facing role responsible for implementing and supporting client benefit administration and HR technology platforms. This role works daily across the Benefits, Payroll Services, and HR Consulting teams and is expected to move fluidly between platforms and disciplines as client needs require. The SIS is not a single-platform specialist: success in this role depends on the ability to configure, troubleshoot, and support multiple systems in parallel, including Employee Navigator, PrismHCM, Rippling, and ADP Workforce Manager, while coordinating closely with internal teams and external vendors to deliver accurate, on-time results. Cross-Functional Expectations This role sits at the intersection of Benefits, Payroll, and HR Consulting. The SIS is expected to: • Operate as a connective resource across teams, translating requirements between Benefits, Payroll, and HR Consulting so implementations stay aligned end to end. • Partner with Payroll Services on data setup, deductions, and integration timing so benefit and payroll systems stay in sync. • Support HR Consulting on ATS, Performance Management, and LMS rollouts when projects overlap with benefits implementations. • Flex across concurrent client projects and platforms, reprioritizing quickly as deadlines or vendor issues shift. • Escalate cross-team dependencies proactively, rather than waiting for issues to surface downstream. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Benefits Administration Platform Implementation & Support (Primary Focus) • Serve as lead implementer for Employee Navigator, the organization's primary benefit administration platform, from initial build through go live. • Configure carrier and payroll integrations via XML, API, and EDI, and troubleshoot discrepancies through resolution. • Provide ongoing support for annual open enrollment, mid-year changes, and platform updates. • Maintain working proficiency in other client benefit administration systems as client platforms vary. Multi-Platform Client Systems Support • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for client companies working across platforms, supporting configuration, troubleshooting, and data accuracy on these platforms. • Coordinate timelines across systems and ensure all client and vendor deliverables are met within established deadlines. • Collect, format, and upload client data across platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency regardless of source system. • Adapt quickly to additional client platforms outside this list as the client base evolves. • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate internal team while maintaining client satisfaction. HR Module Implementation Support • Facilitate implementation of HR modules within client HRIS systems, including Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Performance Management, and Learning Management Systems (LMS). • Coordinate with HR Consulting to ensure HR module rollouts align with parallel benefits implementations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across Benefits, Payroll, and HR teams, not just within a single specialty.

  • Ability to learn and support new client platforms quickly, as the client roster spans multiple systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • High emotional intelligence, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client accounts and activities simultaneously.
  • Effective time management, including the ability to meet deadlines and escalate complex challenges appropriately.
  • Advanced understanding of employee benefits and payroll processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
