The salary grade is 4028, starting at $88,606 commensurate with experience and aligned to ensure internal equity with similarly situated roles. Job Summary Systems Implementation and Training Specialists design, align, and facilitate, professional learning opportunities for personnel throughout the School District of Philadelphia (SDP). Work involves formulating and implementing plans to meet the short-term and long-term technology needs of the District. Work additionally involves determining training and personnel development needs for user across the District. Provides high-quality professional growth opportunities that will enhance professionals’ operational effectiveness as it pertains to the use of technology.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in training, education, administration or a related field.
  • Five years of full-time, paid, professional training experience which have included leading and designing professional learning for adults.
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theories, techniques, and training models.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of group processes and organizational planning.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of training methods, principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of exemplary performance evaluations from rating officers.
  • Demonstrated ability to inform and design the scope and sequence of training.
  • Demonstrated ability to align training initiatives with the District’s mission and Action Plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to support adult learning and training strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and direct training.
  • Demonstrated ability to be punctual and follow through in work related projects and responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and facilitates professional learning and development sessions and courses on a variety of topics to support the use of new systems.
  • Conducts training sessions across all positions and levels in the School District.
  • Thoughtfully creates customized professional learning modules.
  • Creates curricula and customized learning plans for District personnel.
  • Partners with other School District Offices to ensure the intentional, proactive, and responsive design of professional learning opportunities.
  • Leads content programming and logistics for large-scale training.
  • Develops plans for measuring the impact of professional learning; creates tools for collecting data; analyzes that data to evolve professional learning and support programmatic decision making.
  • Works with external partners and vendors to support the development and continuous improvement of training and professional development.
  • Supports District initiatives and key priorities.
  • May participate in the review and/or preparation of grant proposals, reports, and other required documentation as needed.
  • May develop and participate in the RFP/RFQ and Action Item processes.
