CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineering Team Lead within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Systems Engineering Lead leads cross-functional teams to define, develop, and verify complex systems, while also managing requirements, risk, and project timelines. Key responsibilities involve acting as a technical leader, ensuring system performance, safety, and reliability, and mentoring junior engineers to meet project goals. CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 10+ years of experience
  • TS with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI with CI Poly
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, networks, and databases.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems, identify root causes of problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute projects effectively.
  • Ability to understand how different components of a system interact and how changes in one area can affect others.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • System Design and Integration: Developing system architectures, defining interfaces, and ensuring components work together seamlessly.
  • Requirements Management: Analyzing and documenting user needs and translating them into technical requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues within a system, often involving hardware, software, and network components.
  • System Maintenance and Upgrades: Performing regular maintenance, applying updates, and ensuring systems are secure and reliable.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Working with various teams, including developers, testers, and stakeholders, to ensure successful system implementation and operation.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Tracking system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for system design, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Security Implementation: Ensuring systems are protected from unauthorized access and potential threats.
  • Project Management: Managing the implementation of systems projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
